Q9: What is the method for cutting stumps?
Take the machine to the stump and position the rotor disc so it touches the leading edge of the stump you want to remove. Lock the left wheel using the handbrake. Tilt the machine back and start the engine so that the rotor spins freely in mid-air. With a firm grip on the handlebars, swivel the machine across the stump, letting the teeth grind the top edge. Then, tilt the machine forward to grind the lower sections. Move the machine forward by releasing the brake and re-engaging it over the next section. Repeat this process, working your way around the stump until it’s fully removed.
Q10: How deep should a stump be removed?
We suggest removing the stump to a depth of at least 13″ (33cm) below ground level. This ensures the area can be filled in and levelled off, leaving no visible trace of the stump.
